On an annual or semi-annual basis, the Advisory Committee receives proposals from prospective charitable beneficiaries of the Fund. The Advisory Committee then evaluates the proposals and forwards its selection of project recommendations to the TMWA Board of Directors and then to the Community Foundation Board for approval.

In the first round of funding, the Advisory Committee considered grant requests for non-capital projects, ranging from $1,000 to $25,000. Grant requests exceeding $25,000 were considered for capital projects only. All applicants were required to provide a match of 25% for dollars requested. The match may be funding and/or in-kind services or resources.
